End of the Year Review (March)

March:

3/1 Matt came over for dinner and we worked on balloon animals.
This one would likely frighten a child
3/4 Mexican Post with Julie, Jason, Kerry, Joe and Amy.  Jason and I saw Rango (Joel's review is here):

3/5 Julie and I went to the Flyers vs Sabers game (L) where we ran into Chris Rossello, who managed to piss off EVERYONE in our section.  He sat below us in the first level.  He missed a Flyers goal when he was reading my text.  I laughed for a long time about that.

We Saw Mother Mother @ The Fire where we ran into Bonnie & Kevin walking Pepe.

3/6 Julie and I went to christening for Vicki and RJ’s baby Cameron in Lancaster
Drew and I stayed dry while we let Ethan check to see if it was still raining.  It was.

3/8 Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras @ Kerry’s.  Julie, Kerry, Joe, Matt Cas, Amy, Gordon and Jim.  I made Hurricanes.

FD 2011...I earned my beads in the traditional holiday way...Julie did not.

I'm not sure how Joe got his.

3/10 saw BattleLA screening w/ Brendan in the pouring rain.  I sat next to a 70 + year old woman who coughed throughout the whole thing.  I didn't make the experience any worse than watching the movie did.

3/11 I filmed Rabbit Hole & Anthony went on an extended vacation.
Brenden "huffing glue" at what used to be Bosco's desk.  Sorry Bosco.

3/12 Screening @ James (Driver and Good, Bad and Ugly) until 3:30 am (Day light savings)
 This is SOLID filmmaking!

3/13 We removed the costumes from CSP (Fawcett stole my clothes!) and I took down the Swing Set at the house.
That's TOTALLY my fucking shirt!

I'm shocked that George didn't take the swing set down in this photo from 2008 Tiki Party.

3/15 Production meeting for The Joels @ Pinocchio’s with Julie, Kerry and Joe.

3/17 Julie, Kerry, Joe, Amy and Jim @ Paddy’s Day (Blackthorn played at Springfield Country Club).  We were there about 6 hours.  I think we might have forgotten to tell Joe and Julie it would be that long.

We went to Tom Jones around 2 am...I decided eating lemon meringue pie from the 80s was a good idea.

In typical Irish fashion, the night consisted of:

DANCING!

FIGHTING!!!

FIGHTING!!!

FIGHTING!!!

FIGHTING!!!

And of course DRINKING!!!
(Not necessarily in that order)

3/18 Julie’s car is DEAD.  I called out of work and saw Paul with Bosco and came home to do yard work. I ended up with a rash, hopefully from the yard work and not hanging out with Bosco.

3/19 SuperMoon!!!  Erick Paddy’s Day Party, Saw ComedySportz with Julie, Joe and Kerry.  Peter and Emily came out and we hung out at O'Shea's for Jason's Birthday.  Kerry and I had a painfully "intervention" with Jason...check out my TEARS!

3/20 Neil Hamburger @ Johnny Brenda’s w/ Brendan and Andrew.

3/22 Sold Julie’s “dead car” for Ca$H.  Had dinner at Mexican Post and rushed home for Julie's baseball fantasy draft.  That's right, my wife plays fantasy baseball and I don't.

3/24 Picked up Julie’s "new" car and went to dinner at an Indian Restaurant in Newark.  They never brought our dinner, just the appetizers we ordered.  We told the waiter and he asked who took our order, we told him he did.  He didn't believe us.  Julie repeat their conversation "word for word."  He left and never came back.  We left $ for apps and left.

3/25 Saw Jill Sobule and John Doe from X @ The Tin Angel, where we ran into Jana and Jason Grimley.  Then RAN to PHIT to see Horner and Davis.

3/27 Saw Sucker Punch w/ Brendan, Joel and James.

Listen to Brendan Carr talk about why this is the greatest film since Hitchcock's era:

3/29 Took ALL three kitties to the VET.  Got them updated on their shots (because there are apparently more kitties on the horizon...)

3/30 Filmed Joe Trainor Trio @ The Queen (World Cafe Live).  Had free food like a rock star, it was AWESOME!

3/31 Julie picked up the “cat catcher,” I went to cage match, Rosen & Milkshake vs. Iron Lung at PHIT.

Other Highlights:
-Helped a friend "move out and move on"
-I did a rough cut of short film Life Sucks (which the world has never seen, though it's on my computer awaiting some music and FX touch ups).
-Movies seen:  The Adjustment Bureau, Battle: Los Angeles, Kill the Irishman, Limitless & Lincoln Lawyer, Paul, Rango, Sucker Punch & Take Me Home Tonight
-Improv seen:  Comedysportz, Grimacchio, Horner & Davis (2), Iron Lung, Rintersplit, Rosen & Milkshake & PHIT's Level 2 Class

Also, James won the Oscar PODCAST bet:  You've Got Geek (Ep 86)

End of the Year Review (February)

February:

2/2 Spotted a stray kitty hanging out around the house…will she end up living with us?  Seriously have you met my wife?  I'll give you a hint...

YES she ends up living with us.

2/3 The Cheap Seats Read Thru (Home games), then went to Logan House in Trolley Square for Hot Breakfast (Hot Breakfast!) and JT3.  I drank the rest of Jill’s Rum, got buzzed and went home.  Probably should have eaten at some point.

2/5 What was SUPPOSED to be the final day of filming The Cheap Seats got cut short by freezing rain.  But we still had our “NOT” wrap party at Kerry’s,

Which included the age old traditions of:

Getting drunk,

Drawing cocks on each other's faces,

And of course, listening to Genesis:

2/6 Since I gave up on football this year, I opted to ditched the Superbowl to go bowling with Julie, Joe and Kerry.  Though I feel I added a "SUPER" quality to the BOWLing

2/7 Julie names our “mystery kitty” Sookie (which would eventually change to CJ because I was watching immersed in a marathon of the entire series of The West Wing)

"I like that you're tall."
2/10 Filmed BT and the BT Dancers (Brian Turner and Matt Casarino) at Mojo Main.

2/11 Julie and Bonnie went to see Dr. Dogg.  I went to see Improv at the N Crowd’s Theater.  The Amie and Kristen Show was maybe the best show I've seen them do and that's saying something as they're  INCREDIBLE!

2/12 We FINALLY wrapped The Cheap Seats...
This is the last shot of filming (from episode 0-4 "Binoculars")

...then I booked as to Downingtown to go bowling for Valerie’s birthday.  I was so tired I drank a 5 hour energy that was in my car from the film shoot.  It made my heart tingle.

Check out the score...this will forever be remember as the day I beat Erick!

2/13 Brought candy home to all my bitches:  Julie (vegan chocolate) Kerry and Jill (aka Jillybean)

2/14 Julie and I went to Su Tao for Valentine’s Day dinner, without reservations.  Cause that's how I roll!  They were able to squeeze us in (oopsies)

2/15 Julie costuming Rabbit Hole...

...on a side note, Bosco owes her a car!

2/17 Filmed JT3 at Grape Room in Philadelphia

2/20 Picked up Jason at the airport before going to last Improv rehearsal before show and Julie “played” Becca in Rabbit Hole Cue to Cue.

This is from the "green room" of the actual show...but I don't have a photo of the rehearsal so deal with it!

2/21 First Clink meeting for season 2.  Started watching Treme.

2/23 Arrest Warrant for Julie on the door.  Pay your parking tickets kids!  We celebrate her scofflaw ways by going to the Mexican Post.

2/24 First Shamrock Shake of the Year and Rabbit Hole (preview)

2/25 filmed CTC Community Series.  Jim and I darted to Philly to see The Hopper Bros.  Jim and I found “road Art.”  Flying Molars.

2/27 performed class show at Shubin Theater

Yes there's video.  No you won't be seeing it.
2/28 Refi’d the House for all those kitties!!!

Other Highlights:
-Mexican Post trips:  2, Home Grown trips: 2, Royal Tavern trips: 1 and Govinda trips: 1
-Brendan joined the PODCAST
-Movies seen:  Cedar Falls, Drive Angry, Hall Pass and Unknown (4)
-Improv Shows seen: The Amie and Kristen Show, BWP, The Hopper Brothers, Iron Lung, Medic (twice), Rare Bird Show and Suggestical (8)
-Number of Chris Jericho books gave to me by Andrew Mitchell:  1
-Number of Tweets during the Academy Awards:  more than 1

End of the Year Review (January)

What did you do with your 2011?

There were parties, weddings, film shoots, weddings, Hurricanes, weddings, a tit load (which sounds much nicer than “Shit load”) of Improv and of course weddings!!!

Because my memory is complete balls any more, I utilized a Journal all year to help me remember what the hell I did over the course of 12 months.  Here are some highlights…with photos!

JANUARY:

-The Traditional New Year’s Eve Party at Kerry’s house…most of this is a blur, and of course…I didn’t start keeping my journal until “2011 proper.”  I assume some timely Dick Clark jokes were told.

1/1-I spent a slightly hung over New Year’s Day on Andrew and Suzanne’s back porch.  Sure most people were inside, but Joe knows why I stayed outside, on the cold porch, for most of the party…I must have eaten a lot of Chili at Kerry’s the night before.

Later that night Julie, Joe Kerry & I see our first movie of the New Year.

The Fighter

Hear Joel, Bob, James & I on "You've Got Geek" review of this & the "2010 Year in Review" here:

1/6-First production meeting of The Cheap Seats at Champps. I seem to hang out there a lot.

Anthony, Joe, Joel, Julie & myself.

We made Anthony pay, but he took it out of the budget of the show...which means with Pookie eating we were just about at Titanic's budget.

But seriously folks, we tried to recruit the waiter as a Production Assistant.  It didn’t work out.

Speaking of “not working out,” Pookie had plenty to eat!

It's possible this is not an ACTUAL picture of Pookie...

1/7-Mexican Post for Kerry’s Birthday (2nd time Julie & I were there this week)

NO PHOTO
(No one showed up)

1/8-Kerryoke 5!!!

@ The Manocchio’s!

It was a packed house with Guitar Hero on the first floor and traditional (if you can call it that) karaoke on the basement floor.

We even made it through a late day snow fall...which I shoveled out of Steve’s drive way.

Here's a nice tidbit.  I forgot to buy ice.  I was at Wawa and bought a ton of other stuff, but forgot to buy ice.

"But Kevin, there are 2 bags of ice in that photo," you say.
Yes.  That's because I forgot to BUY ice.
Stolen ice is the COOLEST!

Kerryoke Slideshow of all 5 years

1/10-I washed my iPod.  Oopsies.  "The Day the Music Died."

You can read all about it in a previous blog here:
(Editor's note:  Steve Jobs was alive when I wrote this)

1/13-Bosco and I saw the Andrew Mitchell directed “Zoo Story” at Chapel Street Players starring Brian (Amarillo) Turner.

We also saw a girl giving a guy a blowjob in the parking lot behind Grotto’s Pizza (true).

Probably not this girl.

I don't believe that was on the menu, Bosco asked...a lot!

Anthony & I saw Green Hornet at midnight (my first midnight screening of 2011)

I also learned that Bosco can't watch movies in 3D as it hurts his head.
I hear there’s a girl at Grotto’s that can take care of that!

1/15-The Cheap Seats read through...
Anthony Bosco...6-Pack
Kerry Kristine McElrone...Vivian
Dana Michael...Rhonda
Jason Stockdale...Gunner

Joe Pukatsch...The Mascot
Julie Snow Regan...the greatest wardrobe mistress EVER!!!

Later that evening...The Regan Christmas happened at Brian & Vicki's a wee bit late this year.

1/21-like a terrible husband, I ditched Julie’s Holiday Office party to Film JT3 & Hot Breakfast (HOT BREAKFAST!) at Candlelight theater.

Hot Breakfast doing "Jesus Christ Superstar....Abridged."

1/24-Another read through for The Cheap Seats (I'm like a task master), without Dana (to everyone but Dana).

I have no idea why these guys dressed like this.  Apparently neither does Kerry.

Before we began the read through, Jason & I watched the Dukes of Hazzard episode "Little Cousin."  It's the one with the little alien.  Perhaps the worst episode ever (which is saying something)

It’s still on my DVR because I can’t bring myself to delete it.

1/26-we got hit with another awful snow storm.  I still made it into work, but the road were CRAP!

Julie spent the night making tee shirts for The Cheap Seats in our dank, cold, basement while listening to Jill Sobule.

1/27-16 more inches of snow (what the fuck!).

Julie & I both called out of work, meaning I sat on the couch watching DVDs of The West Wing while Julie worked from home.

I still braved the shit weather that night to see Jason in New Brain at Plays & Players.  I got to hang out at the legendary Quig's Pub where I met Rob Cutler & Mary Carpenter.

1/28-The eve of filming, I met Pookie & Bosco to de snowed & de iced football stadium for filming the next day.  Pookie had almost EVERYTHING done by the time I got there.

This is a bit misleading, it was PITCH dark when we did it.  This is the next day.  That hair dryer is hooked up to a generator.

Anthony used a snow remover to cut a path from his backyard to the actual stadium.  I hope they don’t follow it to find out who did it.

FUCKING COLD!!!!!!!!

1/29-we filmed the AWAY games of The Cheap Seats.  It was beyond FREEZING.  The crew never wanted to go inside for fear of not wanting to come back out.  This seemed to strike some of the actors particularly hard!

I had the greatest cast & crew anyone could ever hope for...and they worked in these elements for NO PAY!

1/30-Watched Commitments at Jill’s (projected on the wall) & went to Gordon’s with Andrew for Pay-Per-View.

This photo wasn't from this night, I just wanted to work it in.

1/31-Joe & Kerry came for dinner to start discussing The Joels.

Other Highlights:
-Improv classes on Sundays
-Movies:  The Fighter, The King’s Speech & Green Hornet
-Julie started watching Mad Men

Up next...February
